About Myself!

“Hello… Back in the Kamares Club”

I have lived in Cyprus, on a full time basis, since moving from Kendal in 2003. I am a keen walker, piano player and a generally busy person. I am happily married to Eileen. We have been together for almost twenty years. I am also a big fan of rugby league, being a fan of Bradford Northern, now Bradford Bulls, for over fifty years! We support orphans in Romania. A  former colleague has a Romanian mother, who travels  there twice annually, to ensure all the money we raise goes to the needy children. Our walking group: The Happy Wanderers, Paphos. supports the orphans too, with regular contributions to the children there.

I am also a member of the British Labour party. I try to keep my political opinions to myself… honestly! My “hero” has always been Tony Benn, who will be 87 in April. I have written lots of poems for him. Dear Tony died earlier this year… may he rest in peace in his “socialist heaven”.

I am now settled in Hastings, East Sussex. I miss my Cyprus friends! I still miss my Cyprus friends. We moved back to Anchorsholme, Thornton-Cleveleys, Lancashire in August of 2014. I am still writing… I react to the world around me. Cyprus is still in my mind. We returned last November, 2014, for three weeks. I am grateful for the regular comments from friends in Cyprus… Keep on walking! I apologise that you cannot make comments on the blog. I have been trying to rectify this with the blog manager for eight months. Help! My dear mother died in December 2016. Life goes on, and stops! David x x  I am now officially “Euromann” because of my love of Europe. The spelling is because of my German background: teacher of German and French for thirty years. I condemn all racists in the world. They have emerged from their cracks since the 23rd of June 2016. HELP! XX
