The Comfort Zone, North Shore Church, Dixon Road, Blackpool, is a safe haven for the poor and needy. I am a happy volunteer there: chief washer-up! Our “One Stop” store, East Pines, and the new Holland and Barrett shop in Cleveleys have collection-tins to support our efforts.
C o m f o r t Z o n e
Helping others, “Comfort Zone-ing”
Lots of smiles, with no one moaning
“One Stop” store and Holland B’
Both support our charitee!
Lots of homeless souls are waiting
Atmosphere of love creating
Breakfast, sandwiches and care
Feed the starving ev’rywhere!
Early morning, Blackpool ‘freezing
Coughs and colds and noisy sneezing
Orders for ” a coffee-one” (With one sugar)
Washing-up is loads of fun!
My friend, Michael, cake he’s eating
Hunger pangs he is defeating
Irishman sleeps in a loo (For 20 pence!)
Has a sandwich, “coffee-two”!
Tam from Egypt, always smiling
Mainly tears I’m often filing
Giving folks some T.L.C. (*)
Cereal and some cups of tea
Busy place, my friends are busy
Duncan through is drinking…. dizzy
‘Got a happy, florid face
‘Says the Comfort Zone is ace!
All small change we’re badly needing
Many hungry mouths we’re feeding
Grateful to my One Stop “crew”
Give your coppers…. problems few!
Comfort Zone, a prayer we’re saying
For the poor and needy praying
Tender, loving care (*) for all
In this hallowed Comfort Hall. Please support us xxxx
