In June 2008 I moved with my husband John from the hustle-and-bustle of London to our new home in rural Southern Spain. Culture shock? You bet! However both of us wanted a challenge once we had retired, and although adapting to our new life in Spain has been challenging at times, it has also been a lot of fun.
Jumilla Journal describes the daily life of expats living in a Spanish community: the highlights and lowlights (so far, not too many of those!), the fiestas, where to go and what to see, what else is happening in Murcia region, and of course the wine, as Jumilla is renowned for its wine.
The journal contains snippets about our daily life in Jumilla, and information for anybody planning to visit this lovely town.
To learn about our initial experiences when moving to Spain, read my book “Retiring the Olé Way” by Sue Walker. More about our continuing adventures can also be found in my other blog on www.spainuncovered.com.
I would love to hear what you think about Jumilla Journal, and I am looking forward to reading your comments.
