Furry Tales
Horses On Their Way from Blighty! (and an opportunity for you to get on the telly!).
Dordogne’s retirement home for UK police horses, Brantome Police Horses has two more imminent arrivals!
Johnson (as in Boris) has had a bad time and been turned down by five other prospective retirement homes. His options had run out and so Roland and Alison, from Brantome Police Horses, couldn’t say no! He has been involved in all of the major public order events in London over the last few years and now suffers from a number of problems but has a condition called the ‘shivers’. Any kind of stress and he shivers uncontrollably. We hope that he will quickly de-stress and settle in.
The second horse, St Michael, has been on active service for over 15 years with the Avon and Somerset Police. After such a long and distinguished career he deserves a happy retirement.
Come and meet them on Wednesday 10th October at 2.30pm, which is also the centre’s last Talk/Tour and Cream Tea, 10 minutes north of Brantome, Dordogne.
If you plan to go along, please telephone 05 53 05 86 80, and make sure you look your best as ITV’s Little England have requested that they would like to film the afternoon!
