Everyday in Milan

Maria and I in Metropolis

November 24, 2012

Yesterday night I met Maria for a drink and some chat about everything that happened since the last time we saw each other.

To facilitate the returning home we met halfway and decided to choose a place in Via Vittor Pisani, the road leading to Stazione Centrale from Piazza della Repubblica. It’s full of bars, cafés and restaurants and always crowded, I find it a nice place to have an aperitif.

After five minutes of walking we found Metropolis, a bar – restaurant in a minimalist – retro style I very much like. Well, I must say that it’s a good average, the food is nice, plenty of grilled vegetables, the price is honest (8 €), the stuff kind and funny. Anyway, I always go for Maria, not for the place :-)

We had a frozen Daiquiri Strawberry (it was real strong!), a Prosecco and a tiramisù (yes, that was me, it was full of coffee and alcohol). It seems that they are pretty generous with alcohol :-)

It was so good to see Maria again, we talked about everything, talked bad about men who deserve it, talked nice about other men who deserve it, talked about weird men, about family, books, movies, ourselves… we talked about everything! How much I like these drinks, lying on sofas, not rushing anywhere, just relaxing…. A piece of heaven that costs you only 8 €.

And some photos, despite the terrible lights…

From the terrace you can see the busy street. I caught an empty moment :-)
