Cascais Live is the result of the working relationship established between AngloINFO and the Cascais Town Council (Câmara Municipal de Cascais).
Our joint purpose is to provide you with access, in English and across different platforms, to more local news, and information about what’s happening in and around the municipality of Cascais.
‘C’ is the monthly newspaper of the Cascais Town Council delivered free to every home. Some pages in English – full of events, news and columns about life in Cascais specifically – are produced by AngloINFO for ‘C’. Interesting and informative articles will be reproduced in Cascais Live, often in a more detailed version too long for print.
Cascais Live is the natural complement to the invaluable information pages and to the directory of English-speaking language businesses and associations in and around Cascais available on AngloINFO.
Life as a foreigner in the Cascais area is diverse, interesting and fun, but also can be quite tricky especially when things change so quickly. Although many of the local population do speak English at various levels, most of your news will come to you in a different language. Though the goal is to present everything in English, some of the websites referred to might be Portuguese.
Cascais Town Council presents articles and valuable information for living in the area in English on its website.
You will find a guide to events both on the Council website and here: AngloINFO What’s On: Cascais
Don’t hesitate to ask if there is anything that needs clarification! And we would like your input!
If you have events for our monthly calendar, questions to submit to our “Ask the Câmara” section, or columns you wish to read or write, please just email us: [email protected].
Why not share your experience. Cascais Live is about reviews. Reviews of anything you like. If you have had an experience or done something or eaten, seen, heard, hey, even smelled something good or bad why not write a review about it and share?
Welcome to Cascais Live!
