The Entertainer Vouchers Going to Waste…Again
It’s already October and once again we’ve hardly used any of the vouchers in our Entertainer Family book. We get the book every year and end up using enough vouchers to cover the cost of the book (which is AED 350), but that’s only like 10 out of the hundreds of vouchers in the book. The penny-pinching, savings lover in me is upset…there’s more savings to be had!
One of the problems is that the books are very large and heavy. We can’t go lugging them around everywhere just in case we find an outlet that accepts them (my diaper bag is heavy enough). I do try to plan our day around the vouchers and pull out the ones we will definitely use (including a couple that we might use).
But honestly there are so many times we just don’t bother and end up saying, “oops, we could have used an Entertainer voucher here.” I wish they would just make it a card that you scan instead of paper vouchers. That way we wouldn’t have to bother with bringing the books everywhere.
Do you buy any of The Entertainer books? How many vouchers from the book do you use in a year? I still think it’s worth buying every year (obviously, since we do); I just wish they would move to a paperless system to make it easier (and more environmentally friendly!).

@Grace, I’ll gladly share with you. It’s better than having them go to waste! Actually I’ve been meaning to mention it to, but keep forgetting!
@Abigail, you are welcome to ours as well. I don’t know about the Gulf News vouchers. Does it come with a subscription to the newspaper?

Yes with the subscription.

You made some decent points there. I looked on the internet for the issue and found most individuals will go along with with your website. http://blogs.angloinfo.com is really good.

I am with you in this one we bought the book and only use some of it and all because each time we are out and about the book is at home gathering dust just because it’s so inconvenient to lugged that book around with us
I’m hoping that our visitors this November will get to use them with their kids at least it won’t go to waste.

It’s definitely a great way to treat visitors…there are some really good coupons/vouchers in The Entertainer. The ones we have used in the past are for Dubai Aquarium, a desert safari, Carluccio’s, Little Explorers… I did some winter cleaning and found our 2011 almost unused copy. Put it in the recycle bin and we had used just a few vouchers.
I wish there was a way to buy just 10-20 vouchers…even at the same price of the entire book I would probably still do it. Saves paper, better for the environment, and I would actually use them!

Hi, I’m probably posting in the wrong category. Apologies for that, i’m still new on this forum. I would like to know:
If i’m working in DIFC and we want to stay in a villa because we are a family of 2kids and 2 adults which area can we stay in?
And is there a train from areas like Mirdif, if we decide to stay there?
Thank you.

Dear Busy Mommy,
We are two girls coming to Dubai in December for a long-awaited vacation. We want to embrace the amazing atmosphere of your beautiful city and visit a few tourist attractions and entertainment places. I wanted to ask you if you could kindly share some of your vouchers with us. We will be really grateful for this! Thanks you)))
